Click Clack
I have this dream and for some reason, I know it's the beginning of us. I know because I can feel that ache in my cheeks and the irregular thumping of my heart.
Our feet are in tune with each other as we walk down the busy sidewalk and the tingle in my belly travels throughout my arms to the tips of my fingers where your hand is intertwined with mine and then it happens, the air changes and the crowd grows bigger and your finding it harder to keep up.

My heart pounds in my chest.

My hand is gripping yours.

The longer we walk the more your hand slowly slips from mine and I don't have to look down to know that our feet aren't in tune anymore.
My heartbeat is different but my cheeks still hurt,
And suddenly a thought pops into my mind. Where the fuck are we going?

I look at you to find you already looking at me but somehow it isn't the same and I know you feel it too and despite knowing this my hand still holding on tight to yours.
My feet hurt but I don't want to stop walking, I don't want to stop hearing the click-clack of your shoes hitting the pavement.
